Samara Eve

Samara Eve is an extremely talented 22yr. old Christian artist from Virginia. And yes, that's her real name - pronounced "suh-mare-uh". It was a name her parents chose for it's meaning, which is "Guarded by God".

This young woman has been writing and playing her own music from a young age, having grown up in a family with several musically inclined members. She wrote her first song at 8yrs. of age and truly began using her musical gifts when she received a guitar for her birthday as a teenager. She now makes regular appearances at her local coffee shop, church fellowships and wherever people tell her that her music would be a blessing.

Her musical style is unique and yet faintly reminiscent of Jars of Clay, Sara Groves or Jennifer Knapp (if you are familiar with contemporary Christian music).

Samara says, “We all express our life lessons, emotions and thoughts in different ways, for me it is through my music. When I go through a trial, learn a new truth, get a little taste of true joy, or experience anything that has a profound effect on my life, I want to write about it! You could call these songs my “Musical Diary”. However these are not writings that I have come up with on my own....but truths I've learned from God and the many wonderful people He has placed in my life!"

Samara has a heart to help others on their journey. Her greatest desire is for her songs to point their listeners to Someone who can offer real hope: "My highest desire is for these songs is to point, not to me, but to Jesus Christ! If anything brings a smile to your face, or touches you in any way.....ALL praise to God! I have NO wisdom, understanding or gift of my own but only what God has given and taught me!"
